How to Activate CodeScan for Visual Studio

CodeScan is partially software as a service (SaaS) based, and relies on the CodeScan servers for updated vunlerability definitions. You will have been provided with a license key for CodeScan during the purchase process.

To activate CodeScan, click on the “Activate” (Activate Button Icon) button on the CodeScan toolbar.

Fill in your User Name, Company Name (if applicible) and License Key. Your machine ID is generated automatically and unchangeable.

Press the “Activate” button, and your product will be ready to go.

How to Activate CodeScan Developer

  1. Open CodeScan Developer
     
  2. Click into the “Help” Menu
     
  3. Click on “Reactivate”
    Help Menu, Reactivate
     
  4. Enter your new License Details
    Activate Dialog
     
  5. Press “Activate”
