  1. Return Goods Policy

    A Return Goods Authorization (RGA) and number are required to accompany all software
    product return requests to CodeScan Labs (CodeScan). This ensures proper handling
    of your software return and proper credit. All returns of CodeScan products are
    covered under the licensing agreement accompanying all product shipments or downloads.
    Please follow these guidelines when seeking to return products to Codescan.

    Four product return types exist to allow flexibility in handling varied return reasons:

    • Standard Return
    • Non-Standard Return
    • Non-Conforming Return
    • CodeScan Error
    • Electronic Downloads

    Customers agree not to deduct anticipated credits for returns as a
    condition of return approval. In all cases, your account will be credited and a credit memo will
    be issued within 15 working days from receipt authorization of the software. After
    proper investigation and inspection of the conditions of the
    software, your account
    will be credited for the full invoice value of the download, less any applicable
    deductions and administration charges, if required. When an original invoice amount
    is not known or cannot be determined, CodeScan will determine the value of the product(s).

    CodeScan will refuse returns without referencing a RGA number. CodeScan reserves
    the right to deny credit issuance for returned software not in compliance with this
    policy. Examples include but are not limited to modified software product, expired
    warranty, and items returned as Non-Conforming that pass evaluative testing.

    The issuance of this RGA shall not be construed as an acceptance of any
    responsibility or liability on the part of CodeScan or as a waiver of any right to make a determination
    as to CodeScan’ responsibility. CodeScan software products should be packaged in
    a manner consistent with standard requirements to minimize loss. CodeScan reserves
    the right to refuse credit for returned software damaged as a result of improper
    customer packaging in the case of CD-ROMs of the software.

    Return Goods Authorization expires 60 days after the date of issuance.

    Items returned to a CodeScan distribution location other than the site specified
    on the RGA paperwork will be assessed a $50 re-routing fee

  2. Standard Return

    Returns provide CodeScan customers the opportunity to return for credit of software
    designated as “Returnable” by CodeScan Product Management. Software may only be
    returned when the seal has not been broken, if shipped as CDROMs, or the justification
    for return has been clearly approved under the guidelines of licensing agreement.

    Standard Returns shall be assessed at a 20% or $50 administration charge (whichever
    is greater) and will be deducted from the credit issued.

    The customer will be responsible for proper notification to CodeScan within the
    return policy time frame. If the Activation Key has been issued, the product is
    non-returnable.

  3. Non-Standard Return

    Non-Standard Returns provide CodeScan customers the opportunity to request consideration
    for the return of software not designated as “Returnable” by Product Management.
    If the request is approved, the appropriate approval
    authority will determine any
    applicable charge. Software may only be returned when the seal has not been broken
    in the case of a shipped CDROM version. The customer will be responsible for all
    applicable charges. If the Activation Key has been issued, the product is non-returnable.

    CodeScan Error Returns provide customers the opportunity to return material within
    60 days of ordering in the event of a CodeScan order error. Original purchase order,
    invoice number and date must be referenced.

    Software may only be returned when seal has not been broken (in the case of shipped
    CDROMs) or has been approved by CodeScan Product Management. Product should be returned
    via the CodeScan Approved method provided on the approval documentation.

     

  4. Non-Conforming Return
    Non-Conforming Returns enable CodeScan customers to return product to the factory
    if found to be non-conforming in
    accordance with the conditions of CodeScan’ warranty
    as stated in the warranty conditions as stated in our license agreement. It is CodeScan’s
    discretion whether to replace, repair or issue a credit for non-conforming products.
    Warranty verification will be determined by a technical validation of the software
    product once the nonconforming item is received or has been notified to our product
    department or authorized distribution center.

    For approved product categories, if you have an emergency (e.g. your software is
    not functioning properly) and the warranty can be validated commercially, advanced
    replacement may be available by issuing a new access key. If this option is utilized
    and the nonconforming software details are not returned within 10 business days,
    the customer will be invoiced for the replacement software.

    The customer will be responsible for all applicable charges.

     

  5. Electronic downloads

    Once an activation key has been issued, the goods are usually non-returnable (unless
    the software fails to perform as stated). In the event of a complaint, please contact
    CodeScan by email, telephone, or fax, and CodeScan will discuss the matter and will
    use our discretion for acceptance the return request.

  6. Disclaimer

    This software is sold “as is” and without warranties as to
    performance or merchantability.
    This software is sold without any express or
    implied warranties whatsoever. Because
    of the diversity of conditions and hardware under which this software may be used,
    no warranty of fitness for a particular
    purpose is offered. The user is advised
    to test the software thoroughly before relying on it. The user must
    assume the entire
    risk of using the software. Any liability of seller or manufacturer will be limited
    exclusively to product replacement or refund of the purchase price.
